For over ten years this web site has worked to increase public awareness and understanding of young children with fragile X syndrome (FXS). As of March, 2011, the researchers originally responsible for this site have decided that the information is out of date and have thus closed this site. All links and bookmarks to pages or resources on this site are no longer active. Please make a note of this. There are other ongoing FX projects located at the FPG Child Development Institute that you may wish to visit for more current information on Fragile X studies at FPG. Two of these with websites are the Communication and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Project and the Fragile X Newborn Screening Study. |

The FPG Child Development Institute is one of the nation's oldest multi-disciplinary centers for the study of young children and their families. Research and education activities of the Institute focus on child development and health, especially factors that may put children at risk for developmental problems. This project was funded by grants from the Office of Special Education programs, United States Department of Education, the FRAXA Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Ronald McDonald House Charities, the National Fragile X Foundation, and the FPG Child Development Institute Small Grant Awards. If you have further questions about this site, or about the resources previously available on this site, please contact the FPG Webmaster. |
