Who we are
NC-TAPP is a statewide technical assistance project affiliated with the FPG Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
What we do
Our mission is to promote the social competence of young children and expand and improve inclusive opportunities in natural and least restrictive environments for young children with disabilities, birth to age 5 years, and their families.
To fulfill this mission and to improve child outcomes, NC-TAPP contracts with the NC Department of Public Instruction (DPI), Office of Early Learning, Preschool Exceptional Children Program. Funded initiatives and services include: responsive technical assistance, facilitation of cross agency collaboration to increase inclusive opportunities and build capacity in communities to promote quality early care and education for all children, and training, consultation/coaching to support social emotional development in young children.
